We aren't even to the main event and the party has begun!
SAVANNAH, GA Two men were the first and only arrests made on Friday, the first day of Savannah's St. Patrick's Day celebration, after they disrobed and jumped into the Savannah River.
According to Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Spokesman Julian Miller, the two men shed their clothing and proceeded to dive into the river around 7:15 p.m.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Offices assigned to the River Street Command Center charged the two 40-year-old's from Pennsylvania with swimming in prohibited waters, which is a misdemeanor.
Both of the men ignored directions to stop from nearby SCMPD Marine Patrol officers who saw them disrobing. The Marine Patrol Officers helped them from the waters where they were struggling with an unexpected current and the effects of previous partying.
The greening of the fountains in the city was held on Friday! and now the party builds to Tuesday at 10:15 am we will be there!
